Year 2011 proved both lucky and eventful for the talented and charming Gillian Anderson.

We remember how it all started with her inclusion as an important part and parcel of the million dollar franchise of The X-Files in the late nineties. X-Files download highlights the character of special agent Dana Katherine Scully working for the FBI.

Back in those days, we could never relate Gillian with anything else other than Scully’s character. The role gave her a springboard to dive for higher achievements in the showbiz, and here she is in 2011 waiting for the shower of awards to cease.

Call it luck, call it skills, or call it blessings from the X-Files franchise, the reality is here to watch out for – Gillian has already  bagged four Emmy nominations and won two out of her eight BAFTA nominations this year.

I assume Gillian is sailing on cloud nine, and can almost touch the moon along with the highest stars in the sky. All I can do is shed some light on the rockets that took her there this year.

First is the role of Wallis Simpson in the miniseries, Any Human Heart, tale of a writer who lives through a series of historical events. This is the role that had won her eight nominations and a nod for the Best Supporting Actress in the series that has also been awarded the Best Drama Serial at the BAFTA awards ceremony this year.

And the second is her role of Captain Ahab’s wife, Elizabeth, in the miniseries based on Herman Melville classic, Moby Dick.

Both these roles are award winning in their own ways and are strong contenders for the 2011 Golden Globe and the Screen Actors Guild awards. So we guess Gillian’s ready for more awards to shower on her this year.

I admit that Instyle Magazine’s 10th Anniversary was high on glam-quotient and fashion, but there was someone who can truly be labeled as amongst the night’s best dressed guests.

The event that took place at the Sanctum Soho Hotel at London’s Warwick street n November 22, 2011, had Anderson of the fame of the X-files episodes, as one of its beautiful guests.

She coughed up something that was vintage yet stunningly attractive. She carried off a white dress from Christian Dior’s vintage collection, and matched it with Adler emerald earrings of the 1970s.

The dress, with its cap sleeves, got her toned arms in focus, while its tightness at waist highlighted her curves. The white color sparkled up her pale complexion, and added an element of elegance to the entire getup.

Not only this, she had her face properly done with rouge and peach, that brought out her sharp features, with her eyes done with black pencil that only added to her beauty.

Her hair, in untwisted tresses, was neatly parted for her earrings to show up loud and clear. In total, she was a visual treat for lens men, who found it difficult to stop clicking her.

Once again, Anderson showed the industry that neutral colors were what she was made for, and that there are only a few blessed with features like her to carry it off the way she does.

What a transformation Anderson!

Nobody could have actually imagined Detective Scully churn out into a fashion diva someday.

Plus, there could be another angle to her good looks you know. She has recently bagged the ghostly role of Miss Havisham in BBC’s Christmas adaptation of Great Expectations – a role that many in the industry could just dream of.

So probably, happiness it is that shows on her mind, as her willingness to appear stunning this year and get her fans gasping for more!

David Duchovny has recently developed a Russian connection!

Not to fear, he isn’t spying for them and isn’t a traitor to his motherland; his Russian connection has more to do with literature rather than activities to enlarge the invisible rift that still exists between the two biggest superpowers of the world.

He has recently been cast in the upcoming film, Relative Insanity, an adaptation of Anton Chekov’s classic, The Seagull. The legendary Russian play will be transformed into a movie by director Larry Moss, who will be shifting the events in the play from the vintage Russian countryside to present-day NYC’s upscale Hampton neighborhood.

Duchovny’s expertise in front of the lenses becomes evident as soon as we sit back to watch X-Files online; it is for the same reason that he has been cast along with the likes of Oscar-winner Helen Hunt, in a film as important as this.

The film is valuable for Duchovny, more so because it is directed by Larry Moss, the person who has been both Duchovny and Hunt’s acting coach in the past.

Moss is one of the world’s best acting coaches, fine-tuning actors’ skills for the last 35 years; his students include Jim Carrey, Leonardo Di Caprio, and Hilary Swank.

Relative Insanity, the film that will be scripted by Michael Din and Juri Henley-Cohn, and is based on his favorite play, will mark his debut in feature films.

This film will explore the relationship of an actress on the verge of exit from public memory, with her unsuccessful playwright son being in love with a promising young actress.

While Hunt is set to play the role of the celebrity mother, Duchovny will be playing the role of the celebrated and extravagant playwright, Trigorin.

It’s going to be one of the most celebrated performances of the recent past; mark my words.

David Duchovny’s decision to ride slow on his career path doesn’t take away his right to deserve admiration for the roles he has opted for.

He was awarded the Golden Globe for his performance as Fox Mulder, the FBI Special Agent, in the famous TV series, The X-Files. It was followed by another Golden Globe, awarded for his performance in Californication.

If you get X-Files download, you would certainly know the weight that his character carries along with it, which goes on to suggest that David probably was on the lookout for a similarly meaty role. I have made it a habit to watch the segments that had David in the lead!

And hence his wait. Since then, he has acted in the 2010 film The Joneses, which is his last film until now. So, it is evident that David doesn’t prefer rushing up with a large number of back-to-back roles in a single year.

He’s probably one of those choosy actors, who desire acknowledgment on the basis of the roles that shape up their career graph.

And now the actor, writer, and producer is all set to take up a new role as the leader of a special forces team in the thriller movie, Phantom.

David will be replacing Andy Garcia in the film that revolves around a Soviet Submarine, which is out on a secret mission. The vessel has to withstand supernatural forces attacking it, and simultaneously, battle against a rogue KGB spy division.

The thriller is written and directed by Todd Robinson, and boasts of a cast that include Ed Harris as the ship’s captain, and David as the special agent force Leader.

David has only recently completed the shoot schedules of the fifth season of Californication, and is expected to hit the Phantom sets in October.

Well, with much-coveted roles like these, instead of the adjective ‘slow’, David’s career graph now can be tagged as well thought of and selective!

Frank Spotnitz, the executive producer of the X-Files episodes, has not been sitting idle after his affair with the show that ended back in 2002.

Since then, the writer and producer had acted as the executive producer for Robbery Homicide Division and as a co-writer for ‘The X-Files: I Want to Believe’.

Frank has received several Emmy nominations in the past and will now be working with Cinemax on the original series Strike Back as its co-executive writer and producer.

The series revolves around the life of a U.S. Special Forces operative who has to gel in with a British Black-Ops agent in order to resist terrorism on the global platform.

The series is based on Chris Ryan’s novel ‘Strike Back’, and deals with international terror plots, like that of the Mumbai Blasts in the year 2008.

Already premiered on August 12, the series has its scenes shot in Hungary and South Africa.

Cinemax knows what a script developed by Frank could result to and is trying hard to elevate its standards of original programming, which will help them stand at a better position when striking a deal with the original owner of the show, Channel Sky.

The X-Files genius is also busy developing a unique female character for a brand new show that he is writing for the same channel.

As reports say, the character is a tough undercover female security agent, who teams up with a private military contractor. The character would be a blend of Lisbeth Salander from ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ and Evelyn Salt from ‘Salt’.

Vince Gilligan is another X-Files executive producer, who has come a long way to create and produce Breaking Bad.

It’s not easy being a detective or an investigating agent, when you are against something or someone that does not belong to your world. As fragile thrillers flood television screens prodigiously, there are some shows that have created unrivaled benchmarks in the world of television as well as in the hearts of their viewers.

One such ‘classic of time’ show is The X-Files. A class apart, this show has always been and continues to be praised for its consistency.

Chris Carter, the creator of The X-Files, deserves to be applauded profusely for giving the audience a multifarious show, which encapsulates drama, science fiction, horror, mystery, thriller – all into a single series.

The crux of this show is the adventures and misadventures of two FBI agents, who have divergent opinions and ideologies, but are yet together to solve convoluted cases. Fox Mulder is an ardent believer in existence of aliens and paranormal beings, in contrast to Dana Scully.

Dana holds on to her rigid scientific notions and is a staunch skeptic. The intriguing cases range from calamitous conspiracies and scandals, killer insects, lethal genetic mutations to cold-blooded, vague murder mysteries that hint at paranormal involvement.

Use of science is laudable, and so is the intelligent plot of this show. It is incredible how the story never gets over-the-top, and none of its aspects are annoyingly exaggerated. Just in case you have missed the thrill, go for The X-Files download and enjoy the intriguing mystery as you watch it unfold.

The show created superlative impact by virtue of its substantial storyline, proficient actors, and an all together unique concept. It gave a whole new dimension to thriller, and demarcated the beginning of a new era of entertainment.

Well, this show, with its unmatched perfection and grip is yet to find a competitor.

And I think it’s going to be a long wait!

Yes, what you read above was all that one could guess when David Duchovny and his former wife Tea Leoni, were seen together, celebrating independence day on the beach with their kids in tow.

The X Files actor and his wife separated in 2008, but a formal divorce has not been filed as yet. Reports have confirmed that though the couple was together on the beach on July 4, they maintained distance from each other, throughout the party.

A lot of picnic blankets separated them, though they were reportedly sitting together on the beach!

The couple who got married in 1997 has split several times in the recent years, and the final split happened a week ago.

David Duchovny gained a lot of fame for his character in the television series The X-Files, and viewers just love to throng for The X-Files download. But his popularity on the professional front got a bit tainted when he was accused of suffering from sex addiction in the 1990s.

Reports confirm a secret that their first split was caused by actor’s discovery of indecent text messages sent to his wife by Angelina Jolie’s former husband, Billy Bob Thornton!

Sex addiction, the above incident, and a number of years spent in distance, might be a bit too much for any relationship to withstand.

I, along with all the fans of David Duchovny, will surely watch out for any exceptions in this case!

The sudden tremor in the hearts with the very name of the television series, The X Files, is something not new amongst its viewers at large.

The show, after airing its ninth season, continued to send shivers down our spine. As it discovered the scientific reasons that proved the possibility of paranormal occurrences, they no longer remained a ‘myth’.

The paleness and the uncertainty on the face of the characters, and the mind-boggling sound effects contributed significantly to turning the series into one of the most well-written horror plots, backed up by science fiction and mystery.

Now, a message for the weak-hearted: The X Files has been able to successfully nurture an element of horror so strongly, that the series remains strictly prohibited for the feeble hearted. But that’s where the adventure is, which makes the feeble hearted go watch it anyway!

Gillian Anderson Suffering from ACD! What’s That?

I am sure you must be intrigued to the core after reading the title!

Believe you me, even I went berserk when I came to know of this! In fact, I was doubly astonished when I discovered what ACD actually is!

You dare not laugh guys, as Gillian Anderson’s ACD stands for Accent Changing Disorder! And, she did seem to be suffering from it when she made an appearance at the BAFTA award ceremony.

Hang on, fellas! I’ll definitely divulge the symptoms that the lady displayed, and confirmed in the process that she is an ACD patient.

Recently, the actress attended the BAFTA award night as she was nominated under the category of Best Actress in a Supporting Role. However, things took a startling turn when she started speaking in a stiff English accent!

People sitting there actually scratched their heads when they heard Gillian speaking in an English accent, for she is an American by birth!
So, may I ask you, Gillian, what went wrong with your accent all of a sudden? Because, I guess, only you can answer the question!

And, it was surprising also because we have been witnessing you in the X-Files episodes for a long time now. But, nobody ever saw you speaking in a British accent on the show!

Sounds truly weird! I hope you were not trying to impress the British jury as you were one of the nominees! And, if you were, your efforts went in vain since Lauren Socha from Misfits got the award!

We are waiting for your answer, Gillian! Do come up with something soon, and I sincerely hope that you have been cured of your weird disorder by now!

Science-fictions always assay to present something out-of-the-box. And, The X-Files is one-of-a-kind series, transcending every other sci-fi’s fandom base.

Though the show ended a long time back, its residues are quite influential, and it still gives other sci-fi shows, a run for fame. With millions of fans that followed the show religiously, it was natural to develop a strong bond with its artists, as well.

I am sure that even you would have felt the urge to know what its stars are up to these days!
Let’s talk about Mitch Pileggi, Walter Skinner of the series. Reportedly, the 59-year-old American artist is set to amuse you once again. This time, it’s no TV show. Instead, he will step in the shoes of a guest speaker to appear in the ‘A Conversation With’ series.

Surprised? Well, even I was. But then, the adept actor has actually grabbed this opportunity.
‘A Conversation With’ event will be held on May 22.

The news was confirmed officially by the IBG Inc, some days ago. This will be a platform for all the leading actors, directors, producers, and script-writers of tinsel town to get together, and share their success stories.
Wow! It will be really exciting to see some of the bigwigs sharing their secrets with Mitch Pileggi.
It would be great to see them with the actor, who himself is quite established and adept. Whenever I watch The X-Files online, he is the one who casts a spell!
